Until watching SOUL! I wasn't familiar with him though saw his name in passing
stories through the years, maybe because of his connection with Baldwin.

In the Bill Withers segment, he speaks of his record label giving him carte
blanche artistically which meant Sussex Records and Clarence Avant.

Which brings us to another great doc that's part of the journey and well worth viewing:
