RE: Seeking suggestions on 100 Hz 10+ dB attenuation (long)

Can you separate the low amp and the high section ? If so it is a simple matter of a low pass filter.

For -6dB just an R/C followed by another R/C with values like five times the first one.

If you can't separate them then there also has to be a high pass at a bit higher at -6dB, same deal, R/C and then another R/C.

There are also ways with OPAMPs but I don't do that. I use passive and boost the gain enough to compensate. Some amps and receivers do this in their tone controls with quite good results.

Actually I designed a set of tome controls with no real phase shift, but there is no way they can be used here, I think. Maybe if I think on it for a bit I could come up with something.

And there is always between the amp and speaker. A simple cap and coil, and if that isn't enough a second cap and coil. I could give you the values easily and then you can DIY with parts form a speaker place because these would be about the same as crossover parts.

Another solution would be a 1/3 octave equalizer. Many of them are pro or semi-pro and they are not really cheap, like we care. But if you got a bump at 100Hz it is probably not just at 100Hz, it may span almost an octave, like ½ an octave each way. The 1/3 octave EQ gives you very precise control and you don't have to do anything but hook it up.

I take it for some reason you don't want to try moving the speakers. So be it.
