The basic rule I learned from NABET engineers was Stabilant for more permanent connections and Caig products for connections that slide, especially things that you would expect to slide every now and then like power cords, rca connectors, etc.
I started using Stabilant 40+ years ago for assembling electronics back when chips walked themselves out of sockets due to thermal cycling.
