you sound disillusioned ... I believe that 'high end' synthesizes and sums different elements of 'art' as it were, together to make it greater than the whole ... the sound aspect being the most important part of those elements ... if you can afford it
high end sound can be achieved without the accoutrements of cabinetry - furniture excellence, architecture, and exterior hardware design at sane price points ... if you know what you're doing while being forgiving of visual appeal ... and it can alter a person's state of consciousness at least as profoundly as meditative techniques
overall I'm somewhat in agreement in spirit but arguing against the percentage you used and your dismissal of the meditative aspects
probably should have said that first and avoided some typing *shrug*
