This broke my heart and ruined my day. She was beyond brilliant, one of the most intelligent and expressive musicians of our day. Thank goodness her musical history is well-documented, with dozens of recordings. And no doubt she influenced many aspiring musicians via her teaching positions....
My favorite quote of hers, from an interview years ago...."I'm prepared."
