It's a result of Body Capacitance.You would get better answers to your questions if you provided critical details, like what band and modulation* (Amplitude or Frequency) you're trying to receive, and the broadcast frequency. It's relatively easy to increase the reception of one frequency if you don't care about getting the rest.
