Other things which may be happening beside in AC line RF are the fact your channel 9 is very weak already.
My Plasma has a meter, built in to give me the signal strength.
Depending on my attena, the signal car vary from a high of 100 (usually between 88 and 98) and fall to 55 for various reason. (none of which are AC xrap)
And occasionally down below 40.. Which is the point the TV screen just does not use the signal, and goes blank.
The point where my TV get lots of digital artifacts is between 41 and 50. Over 51 the signal is adequate to broadcast the channel perfectly.
Now I can get a signal in the near 50 range, and alter whether it plays by MOVING MY LEG. OR rotating my recliner.. WTF does that have to do with on AC line anything?
So...
