I'm not an American but I do enjoy hearing yours sung with gusto by a big crowd.It's the singing of yours and ours as if they were pop-songs. Disrespectfully individuated, boring, and not at all affecting.
It's an anthem folks, so let's sing it like an anthem, with everyone JOINING IN, like we should.
