...works to your advantage if you're snapping or viewing on a smartphone as most of the population do these days. Otherwise, you just have to know how to manage it. Easy.
As slider said, "Some phones embed the orientation depending on how you are holding it, but always display correctly on phone. I think you would have to edit the picture and then save it with the desired rotation before uploading it."
