RE: Lesser Equipment

I don't think everyone on this forum is filthy rich. I certainly am not, and I have bought almost all used equipment over the last 15 years or so. Now, most of my components are at least thirty years old and I think my system sounds great.
I have had some of my components rebuilt. My turntable, a Thorens TD-124, for example was rebuilt and sounds wonderful. It was built like a tank, plays all four speeds: 16, 33 1/3, 45 and 78 rpm and sounds great.
If you enjoy the music you get from your components, why worry about whether someone thinks they are "dogs"? Clearly you take pride in rehabilitating some worn old units, which is a great skill to have.
There will always be some overly opinionated people on these forums who will trash well-regarded components. Who cares?

Enjoy your music.

George
