I find that news interesting, and good. But the article was limited to the UK market and didn't present a holistic view of music consumption trends worldwide including streaming services.
So in terms of 'tangible media', vinyl sales in the UK are up. OK. How does that compare to music distribution in general on a macro scale including streaming services? The vinyl trend may be up but I suspect it is still a niche drop in the bucket (and will continue to be) if you look at the bigger picture.
