I used to love to blast music...the louder while maintaining clarity, the better. Used to love treble and airy voices. I grew up with parents that just blasted the tunes. How did I ever think full treble sounded good?
Now...20yrs later I find myself looking for equipment that can give me the details at low to medium volume levels. This was before my wife and 2 kids...so it is even more important for quality sound at lower levels. Amazingly I find the clearer and better the sound...ther louder you can play without waking the household.
Now my parents...you gotta blast it before it gets the thumbs up for sound.
Normality frightens me- its what they use to lure you into the cookie cutter.
