A "decent" setup can be had for under $10k. No trouble

this was all bought new last, prices are paid prices, not "list". List would add $1,500 total. Of course this ain't the cat's meow but if I read yer post correctly decent was the standard and decent this is,

Panny 65" plasma, $2,000
Denon 2311 CI Receiver, $650
OPPO BDP93, $500
Def Tech Mythos 6(7?), FL, C, FR, total $1,050
Two Mythos in ceiling speakers, $500
B&W ASW 750 Sub, $800

That's $5,500 pd. for very well reviewed gear. It can energize our 14x22x10 media room just fine thank you. Great for movies and none too shabby for SACD/DVD-A either. Most room for improvement would be a higher end 65" Panny but this one works just fine for now/
