RE: What do you do while listening to music?

76.14.111.5

Thanks for asking this question. So many stereo systems seems to be based on the condition of someone seating in one particular spot with their full attention directed at the music so as to hear ever last nuance that their new $20K interconnections have added. Seriously though, when systems get into price ranges of 5 figures per piece I have wondered what the listener is doing.

My music system is a desktop with 4 Logitech surround speakers. That makes me even worse than someone who owns Bose. On extremely rare moments I will actually devote everything to a song or maybe just a musical passage. But that's it. Music is the robe that covers me as I surf the Internet reading the news from both domestic and foreign sources, dropping by various tech/gadgets sites to see what is new, checking for the latest music and movies I can download for free, maybe 20 minutes or so on my favorite porn sites, or just reading a full novel. Music is the background whether it be rock, new age, acoustic, classical or lite jazz aka adult contemporary.
