I certainly won't argue about the ethics of the seller reneging on the deal, but what seems to be missing here is a sense of proportion. There are unfortunately enough cases of sellers on Audiogon (or eBay, or other similar sites) actually ripping off buyers, selling non-working or much-worse-condition items than advertised, and then refusing to refund the money. Relative to those kinds of stories, this one may have been unfortunate, but there was not attempt to rip anyone off. The seller refunded the money promptly, and the original poster is upset at losing what he felt was an extremely good deal. While the upset may be warranted, in the universe of "slime balls" this one is actually pretty small.
