Well the Furman retails for $3,500. and weighs 90 pounds..

So just from a $$$ and 'how heavy' audiophile rule it has to be pretty good.
I came from a background of starting off with a small Adcom, the several Adcom power conditioners, the a few Monster. Up to the Monster 7000 signature series.
The reason i wanted a Furman, My dealer for my Surround system talked me into trying a small Furman with my (from them) Denon 4806 receiver. It REALLY was the perfect touch with the Denon and it's Canton speakers. It was overpriced to my mind, so I returned it and finally ran into a used Furman REF20i close enough to pick up instead of ship.
I paid $1,400 for the used Furman REF20i which is a fair price The retail is way high IMO, and anyone buying a new Furman should expect 25% off list minumum.
I know Furman has a bigger margin than usual on it's power conditioners..

Anyway since the Furman was the right touch with the Denon, I just went with it for all the analog. It is better than the Monster.
And I would never use a regenerator to power an amp anyway.
The wastte of electrical power is way too high with a regenerator, and I leave my stuff on 24/7 So that would double the electricity usage with a regenterator.
Since the digital stuff does not use too much power, even on 24/7.. i am OK with the PS Audio regenerator on with those.

(When I had the PPP, and would turn on my Plasma TV, it would force the PS Audio PPP to kick on it's fan..I never did like that. It worked as well as the Furman, just the Furman REF20I uses less power on it's own, and needs no fan.

I really only recommend the 'Power Factor' Furman products. They have stiffening capacitors in them to alieviate line sag. The one in my REF20i is like a giant car sized stiffening cap. The smaller models have a cap the size of two cellphones together.
All my analog, home theater, Plasma TV, and my main amp are on the big Furman. No problem.
