Ultimately it's up to the individual to make the call. All I'm saying is: don't trust someone just because they are willing to accept Paypal. Paypal phishing scams happen every day and they work on some people. That means scammers have ready access to hijacked Paypal accounts.
I understand your livelihood relies on Audiogon being successful or at least popular, Mr. Kait. So I can relate to your desire to resist the notion that Audiogon is no longer secure. However, please do not spread misinformation about matters of security on the internet. That is other people's trust and finances you're risking. Paypal does not equal a guarantee of safety.
Inside sources aside, the lack of security is plain as day. Scroll down New Today and you can pick out scam ads on every page. And those are just the most obvious ones.
