a slight correction

I just talked to my mom who was an audiologist, and she explained a little more about the mechanics of hearing loss.

The Echophone bypasses the outer ear, but not the inner ear which is still the mechanism that translates the vibrations into the sound perceived by the brain, even if the vibrations come through the skin. It would still help anyone suffering from partial or gradual hearing loss by boosting the higher frequencies, which are often the first to be reduced in sensitivity.

I am also very pleased that I find with the Echophone I tend to listen at lower volumes as I do not need to turn it up to hear further into the music. So it should help preserve my hearing going forward.
