There are two things at work here, and it reveals something about the way the universe is ordered. Purely by chance the remote that changes your TV channels is using the same frequency as your pre-amp. I experienced a similar thing when my selecting a certain input on an amp remote would turn on some other component. I don't think there is much you can do about the problem. But the other thing that is going on is that God is telling you not to watch FOX News. Moses Maimonides covers this (not specifically your situation, as it was written in the 12th century, but the general principle that is at work) in the Guide for the Perplexed. Purely random events in the natural world can bring about the fulfillment of God's will for an individual human being, and it is completely mysterious how God is able to accomplish this.
