Overbuilding.....

is generally a good idea with your goal in mind. You want the floor to be as stiff as possible, and extra supports will certainly help in that regard, as would larger joists (such as 2x12 if 2x10 are called for in the current plan).

In my previous house, when I added jacking posts beneath my listening room to stiffen the floor, it was one of the best tweaks I ever performed.

Making the floor non-resonant would also be worthwhile. One way you might do this would be to put a layer of 1/2" or even 3/4" MDF over the plywood subfloor.
