I'm playing this album from a different digital source (Magnavox changer from the early 1990s). Sounds like a **totally** different album. (I posted something about this above.)I'm starting to think if the recording is decent to begin with (this is definitely the best studio recording Rush has put out in recent time), Rush may be *the* acid test for digital playback. Based simply on how "boring" or "exciting" the performance is perceived.
I've suspected this, but I'm now convinced- Something has gone **really** wrong in how digital audio "technology" has "progressed" in the past ten years.
