check inside the unit (if you haven't already done so) for bad fuses.

Although fuses can appear ok visually, they can indeed be blown. I'd toss em' and replace them regardless or test them with a multimeter for continunity.

Certain amps generally have fuses for each channel.

Hell, my two channel Rowland 5 has five fuses!

Check the fuses on your Maggies too (although they're usually attached to the tweeter panels only and you'd still be able to hear 'something' if this was the cause). Switch speakers to rule this out.
