My current speakers are Maggie MMG's, the smallest floor standers in the line. On their own, they don't have much of a low end. My pre has tone controls and a variable loudness control. I use the loudness and bass control's to boost the speakers weak low end but the treble control is largely left alone.When I experimented with adding my HT sub to the mix, the low boost was dialed way back however.
