Which sadly aren't as uncommon one would wish. While I've never heard a "graphic" equalizer of any stripe that I cared for, the simple bass and treble controls on my preamp don't seem to do much damage when turned on, and often allow me to enjoy material that would otherwise be virtually unlistenable. I consider having the ability to apply tone controls and invert polarity when needed a "must" in a preamp.Rick
