I don't know about CD/LP stores, but there's a lot of good-looking women there. :)
If you work for the UN, I hope they're giving you a sizable supplement for the location. You'll need it. Nothing is cheap in Geneve.
Just for a little contrast in the land of the UN uppa crust, stay at the Hotel Bernina for a night, and then stay at the Noga Hilton. Also be sure to have lunch at a nice restaurant on the north shore, if you can get past the diplomats' bodyguards to put your name on the list.
BTW, it's cheaper to drive across the border and live in France than in Geneve.
