Re: Red Rose and Dusson, Insignia and ???

There is an amp selling on eBay that look awefully similar to Sophia Electric's Baby amp. I would not be surprised if the company/factory in China producing these amps is selling their own "version" on the side. Everything look the same except the housing design was slightly different.

Regarding Mr. Mark Levinson, I was having a conversation with a friend of mine who has been in this hobby since the 70's. He claimed that Mark Levinson, the person, doesn't have a engineering background, but is more of a marketing guy. All the products under his name (when he still owned the company) were all designed by others. The conversation started when we were looking at some recording that mentioned that it was engineered (or mastered) by Mark Levinson, and he was wondering why they would let him master the recording since he doesn't know anything about it. Don't know how true it is, but it sounded like just what Mr. Levinson did with the Red Rose brand. I remember that some of the Red Rose products were rebranded AudioPrism products.
