I've been hearing complaints about Welborne's poor service for months. My experience with them has also been bad.I've built products from almost all the kit manufacturers including Welborne. In my opinion the DIYHISUPPLY products generally sound better, are in the same price range and their service is beyond exceptional.
Other good candidates are Bottlehead, Transcendent and Audio Note (more expensive). I've built kits from all these guys and their service has been consistantly good.
Ignore Ron's shills and do business elsewhere. There is no reason to support this kind of company. Yes, they make a some decent products, they have been around for decades, service has been good for some in the past. But now they choose to screw many of their customers for whatever reason.
