This saddens me, even though I knew, as we all know, it is eventual someday for us all.One of my favorite things to just sit and listen to is the Bach unaccompanied Cello Suites Slava recorded. Not only do you know a system is working well when you forget all about electronics, and can just get wrapped up in the music (and wipe the goosebumps off your arms and legs), he interpreted things so well, and so naturally, that every listening session is a music lesson, no matter how many times you hear that same recording.
At least future generations will have those recordings to enjoy and learn from.
