As others mentioned. So long as police scanners and 120% mark-up chineese cables and parts go out the door, not to mention the lucrative cell phone industry they and others got themselves into (another short lived frontier IMO), they will still have throw-backs to hound you.Still have that geek love for em though. They had a time and place once for us techies. Heck, they FU*& over Bill Gates with the TRS, thats a legacy of its own. Really I see nothing but corporate greed and a TOTAL lack of insight as blame for places like BestBuy getting the better of em. They had a once established track record, WTF?
As stated, if BB can get a SOMEWHAT established staff they might maintain an edge for many years. With the GeekSquad and current 50% computer illiteracy they can avoid RS doom. But I have yet to see the insight needed, as many have the "tech friend" and last time I checked, many heard of Ebay, B&H, NewEgg, Agon (not nearly as applicable) and the numerous other sites popping up in here in the states and straight outa china.
Thank allah for the DIY audio community (and good music and or other entertainment) otherwise we may all end up sheep!
