listen to Mahavishnu Orchestra's "Miles Ahead" from their album Birds of Fire. He plucks a violin and trys to make it sound guitar-like. Of course the biggest reason is it's not a guitar. The string is shorter the body is smaller and so on and so on. Also picked vs plucked is different even on the same instrument.ET
