Re: Converting old vinyl recordings to digital

If your friend has a computer and is willing to take the time, less than $100 will purchase a very good 24/96 capable soundcard. I use Audacity for recording software- FREE. It has enough editing features to cut long recordings into tracks etc.

If your friend needs a preamp, I would recomend the purchase of a used NAD receiver or preamp. Again, less than $100.

Ask questions here or search on the web for guidance.

Once your friend is comfortable with the workflow, the process will be smooth, if time consumeing.

Best,

Ross
