to below the threshold of human perception (like the still pictures that make up a moving picture on TV or at the movies). If you can really achieve that (unknown) then the good attributes of digital may really shine over many analog media on A-B testing. As with all long term acoustic event reproduction differences our brain tries to fill in the gaps so they are not perceived to matter as much if you listen to a given system with a given media and given level of performance.
