Thnaks to everyone for all the helpful suggestions on my questions regarding this tweak suggested by Magnan cables and numerous others. I'm still confused, though, since everyone here has stressed the need to use X-type caps that are rated for AC usage (which makes sense to me), yet Magnan cables has told me that one should only use audio-grade caps like those used in speaker crossovers, which would seem to me to be a huge fire hazard. Will the fact that I would be using the filter after my Monster Power HTS3500 power center alleviate these fears since surges should not come through?
I really need advice from someone who knows alot about this type of thing so I don't burn down my house :(
Thanks
Chris
