Mine are now 12 years old, and are the ONLY component to have never been changed in my system! They CAN sound good just driven with a source component, but it depends on the source, and they'll really shine with a good headphone amp. 3 mo? I think you need to get a tubed EarMax headphone amp for 'em. A more musical, and easy to listen to combo, you will not find.
