I'd highly suggust the 701's. I love mine, and they bested all others.One word of cation, they take forever to break-in. Mine were terrible up until about 400 hours. Then much better, but (and I'm the only one I've seen comment on this) I did notice another sizeable improvement after about 1000 hours. No kidding...
One other thing, about recabling, last I heard there's really no need with the 701 due to the high quality of the stock cable.
Unfortunately, it's only 10 feet long and I require 20. So after much research I got a Revelations Audio Labs 10 foot extension cable.
The RAL cable is outstanding, but it also took forever to break-in, about 400 hours.
