The Grado SR60 or 80 are a good bargain and easy to drive without a headphone amp. I have the SR60s and an older pair of Sony MDR V6, and I think the Grados sound much more detailed and realistic. I never use the Sonys anymore. The SR60s do have bass but most people feel the bass is more robust in the SR80s. The downside of the Grados is that they are open to outside noise and are uncomfortable to wear.
