the shared name is mere coincidence.The spheres just don't sound like boxes at all!
They image like mini-monitors only better! Like a quad 57 with bass slam. The 3rd order final HP slope for the dome tweeter starts at 1st order, and then goes to 3rd due to a notch on Fs! Sounded far better with the notch. Dunlavy used to notch his tweeters too!
All the caps were MF polycarbs.
