Many people have trouble with connecting TV to audio systems because the TV signal cable input is grounded separately from the power system. The cable input ground may be physically far away from the place where the power wiring is grounded, and there may be a substantial potential difference between the two earth connection points. This results in annoying hum in some cases, and there are isolation transformers especially made for the cable TV line to break this ground loop. You may not have annoying hum, but still have enough background noise from this loop to degrade your audio system performance. The way to tell is to listen critically to your best audio source, then disconnect the video cable from the TV and listen again. If the sound gets better, then you have a ground loop problem.
This all has little to do with your original question, but you should not spend money on additional AC power conditioners until it is resolved, as you will not be able to judge the benefits of the power conditioner change.
