It really depends on how good your ground connections are. Theoretically, each of the power conditioners can shunt any surge directly to ground since that route has a much lower impedance than any other that might take the surge through a signal line to another component. In practice, that may not be so, especially if the two conditioners are on different outlets or, worse, on different AC circuits.For example, I had two Panamax devices at one time with my all my HT system components split between them and Panamax advised me to run a heavy link between the ground terminals on the two. Now, I run everything, except my sub, off one APC S-15 which is the only thing on that dedicated line. The sub is on another dedicated line with its own surge protector AND a signal line surge block in the coax to the sub.
So, no single answer except I gave you more to consider. :-)
