If someone asked me why I thought rap music seems to be highly-regarded by the media and public, my top reason is people simply fear they'd be deemed a "racist" if they stated what they really thought. The core of "political correctness."

I also think people constantly playing the race card has dulled the public awareness of the true evils of racism. I recently met someone who thought Dick Cheney was the closest thing we've had to the infamous German leader, yet had no idea who Tom Metzger was.
