What would you allow in?
Presumably not country, blues, r'n'b either new or old, ska, reggae, soul, disco, dub, techno, or anything else you don't like.
In fact probably we could stop rock being included as it grew out of some of those musics.
Its not even as if rock is a fixed thing is it?
Or else we'd still be in the mid 50s.
Or do you think it started when The New Yardbirds changed their name to Led Zep?
Music moves and rock is just a label.
