of the bass being deeper (on the CD) is essentially what I reported (on another site) as being the effect of the Bedini Quadri-Bean. Briefly, I don't use it routinely but on thin/shrill sounding CDs I've found it gives a welcome improvement by virtue of the bass getting a nice boost.The Bedini costs but a small fraction of the Furutech DeMag. I bought mine used for a pittance ($50CAN).
