Even though the technology is 'different', is it really better?A-I don't want to stand directly in front of a giant computer display, much as I don't want to sit in the front row of a movie theater.
B-The vast majority of my computer work is word processing, with web prowling a distant second. I'd guess a vast majority of users are the same. I'm pretty comfortable sitting at my desk and looking at my screen, keyboard and mouse at the ready. A word recognition program would, I suppose, be the next logical step for information input, but I haven't even felt a real need for that.
This seems like technology that is perhaps useful for a minority, but mainly useful as a lesson learned, and 'we did this for no real reason other than we can'. Kind of like 90% of the 'features' on an average cell phone.
