i don't like rock music on my system, do you?

I'm not even saying that my rig can do rock, it can. I've found that as i get older, a lot of my CD collection is comprised of music i listened to in college, and blasted it. like Big Black, Soundgarden, screaming trees, butthole surfers, nirvana, mudhoney, scratch acid. then to electronica and industrial like skinny puppy, NIN, controlled bleeding, consolidated, etc.

my point, is who the hell actually sits down and subjectively listened to this stuff, even on an ultra buck rig?

my system is not incredible by any stretch, buti like it. basics are KEF 104/2, precision Fidelity C4, either McIntosh MC60 or modded quad 405-2 and a REL Q100 sub.

bottom line, I'm getting old (at 33 years old). i can chill to Stevie ray or Alvin lee and rock out, but i don't find any point to sitting down and listening to rage against the machine. that's best left for blasting in your car for a long road trip.

what are your thoughts?
