Living long term with one system.

Having owned at least one of every componet ever made [feels that way anyway], I promised my dear wife I was going to buy one last system and live with it at least 5 years without selling or buying any other equipment. I now own the following system:
Rega P3 turntable with a Dynavector 10X5 cartridge.
Rega Mira 3 integrated amp.
Rega Apollo cdp.
Spendor S5e loudspeakers.
Audioquest Bedrock bi-wire speaker cable.
Audioquest King Cobra interconect.
This system, while far from being the most expensive I've owned, makes music as well or better than any I've had through the years. I may add a Rega Radio 3 to complete it but I'm not sure I really want to spend the money for a componet that really won't get a whole lot of use. When I think back on all the money I've spent over the years on gear, well, frankly I'm ashamed of myself. Thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars that could have been put to much better use or better yet, in my savings account. I hope others can learn from my mistakes and just get something that makes beautiful music and be happy with it. My system really should satisfy anyone who's main interest is music, not gear. I really see no reason anymore for 5K amps and tweeky, hand build 3K tube preamps. All I do is switch mine on, set back and enjoy. Finally, life is starting to get good again.
