Best listening room shape

I just moved in to a new house with a listening room shaped like a barn with a flat top (or a Tough Shed). The room has two skylights on one side. Using an RTA I set up my system and noticed a much flatter response that I have had in any of my rectangular rooms. Is this shape optimal? Does it usually have less standing waves? is it due to the 2 side walls - with one being angled in and the narrow ceiling area?
