1. don't have to enter a password and I don't have to save my password on a computer.
2. don't agree that by being registered you get any more credibility. I don't have any formal connection to the industry so registering wouldn't really tell you anything other than I'm some guy that likes stereo stuff. Something you could guess.
3. I don't really agree with the idea that you should believe someone because you know who they are. For example, lots of companies hire celebrities to be spokespeople for their products. There is no reason to believe that the product is good because a celebrity says it is. The celebrity is occupying the space that, in a perfect world, substance would have. I don't necessarily believe registered posters any more than anyone else. If they are particular people who are known and connected to the industry I'd believe them about particular things. For example, if jon doe of xyz manufacturer says the new line of amplifiers has a different power switch because the old one failed a couple of times I'd believe him over an unregistered poster. Aside from situations like that I try to focus on what is being said rather than who is posting.
