I do not say that it is the greatest CDP but it is quite solidly built for the money. As much as Jolida quality is concerned, it was the only player I ever heard that managed to exhibit flutter with number of discs.
On the side, althoug JD100A not bad for the money it did not hold up to even my CDpre24 combo. In addition, it's preformance varied dramatically from system to system, and could not recommend it with MF amp.
It had somewhat larger soundstage and was slightly euphoric but restricted on top and bottom end, and lacking in bottom control as much I can remember after 6 mnts.
Today I would go for "new" Rega for stand alone CDP for below 1000.
