I connected the drain wire to the ground, finished connecting the rest of the AC male plug and plugged the APC into the wall and all the indicator lights on the APC read as normal. Now, I never tried this before changing the AC male plug BUT using my oulet tester on all the oulets on the back of the APC ( nothing plugged into it) shows all the digital oulets reading hot reverse while all the analog, digital ans amp oulets read correct- there must be a rational explanation for this I'm missing.
I haven't plugged anything into it yet-trying to be very careful-but the plug change couldn't have anything to do with this could it and does the whole thing make any sense?
