I'm implying that we should have some fun.
The mention of "bass traps" and "pebbles" was merely to indicate that I might be susceptible to any number of tweaks.
Ok - I confess. I have all kinds of smoke and mirrors in my audio set-ups. Except for Jon Risch bass traps and pebbles. Haven't gone down that road. Yet. Doesn't mean I don't think they might not work. 'Specially the traps. I know they will Not too sure about pebbles. All the good pebbles are still under a metre of snow down by the riverside. Have to leave that for late spring.
I love tweaks. They're my reason for living. I want to try out every last damn one of them. Drives my partner crazy. She just shakes her head. But I call it "Research and Development" so she lives with it.
The day that something in audio can't be improved somehow is the day I'll buy an MP3 player and give away all the gear I own.
And now - I need to figure out out to re-wire the Cornwalls and add some dampening on the woofer and back plate, turn the ST-70 into a triode amp, try to build some silver ICs for the Thorens, make some more DIY rollerblocks, don't need any more sandbags, need to find some rope caulk...
and make some notes so I can tell all about it on March 29th!
